Yáñez, Agustín

Yáñez, Agustín ägo͞ostēnˈ yäˈnyās [key], 1904–80, Mexican novelist and critic. Yáñez's writings include works about Native American myths and the Spanish colonial era. His work includes the novels The Edge of the Storm (1947, tr. 1963) and The Lean Lands (1962; tr. 1968).
