Franceschini, Baldassare
Franceschini, Baldassare bäldäs-sä´rā fränchāskē´nē [key], 1611–89, Florentine painter; pupil of his father, who was a sculptor. He was also called Volterrano. His works include the Coronation of the Virgin, a fresco in the dome of the Church of the Annunziata, Florence; paintings in the Niccolini Chapel, Church of Santa Croce, Florence; and St. John the Evangelist (Church of Santa Chiara, Volterra).
