Neiman, Leroy

Neiman, Leroy nēˈmən [key], 1927–2012, American painter and printmaker, b. Saint Paul, Minn. Neiman was a leading artist of sporting subjects and one of the most popular artists of the 20th cent. He combined startling juxtapositions of saturated colors with a loosely impressionistic painting style to achieve a feeling of dynamism.
