Rehan, Ada

Rehan, Ada rēˈən [key], 1860–1916, American actress, b. Ireland. Her original name was Crehan. Rehan came to the United States when she was five. From 1879 to 1899 she was a member of Augustin Daly's company and for a large part of this time was costarred with John Drew. Excelling in Daly's adaptations of German and French society comedies and in Shakespearean comedies, she won special acclaim in The Taming of the Shrew.
