Ashiya

Ashiya äshēˈyä [key], city, Hyogo prefecture, W central Honshu, Japan, on Osaka Bay. Known for its beauty, Ashiya is a residential and industrial suburb of Osaka. It is the site of Ashiya Univ., a small, independent liberal arts school.
