Pápa

Pápa päˈpŏ [key], town (1991 est. pop. 33,500), W Hungary, in a grain- and beet-growing area. It is an industrial town; textiles, cigars, and footwear are among the major products. Pápa has several churches, a Protestant theological college, and an 18th-century château built by Count Maurice Esterházy.
