Borås

Borås bo͞orōsˈ [key], city, Älvsborg co., SW Sweden, on the Viskan River. It is a transportation and commercial center and Sweden's leading textile center, with numerous cotton and woolen mills. Borås was founded in 1632 by Gustavus II.
