Nord-Trøndelag

Nord-Trøndelag nôr-trönˈdəläg, no͝orˈ– [key], county (1995 pop. 127,560), 8,673 sq mi (22,463 sq km), central Norway, N of the Trondheimsfjord and bordering on the Atlantic Ocean in the west. The chief towns are Steinkjer (the capital), Namsos, and Levanger. The economy is based on farming, fishing, mining, and the manufacture of forest products.
