Esch-sur-Alzette

Esch-sur-Alzette ĕsh-sür-älzĕtˈ [key] or Esch, city (1991 est. pop. 24,012), SW Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, on the Alzette River. It is an industrial center and a rail junction. Manufactures include iron and steel, cement, tar products, and fertilizer.
