Arphaxad

Arphaxad ärfăkˈsăd [key], in the Bible. 1 Median king at Ecbatana, defeated by Nebuchadnezzar. He has not been definitely identified with anyone in other records. 2 Son of Shem. It has been supposed that he was the eponym of the Chaldaeans.
