behemoth

behemoth bēˈhĭmŏth, bĭhēˈ– [key] [Heb.,=plural of beast], large, fanciful primeval monster, like Leviathan, evoking the hippopotamus mentioned in the Book of Job. In the Book of Psalms the term occurs in a non-mythological context.
