Dalmanutha

Dalmanutha dălmənyo͞oˈthə [key], in the New Testament, a place, probably on the W shore of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus came apparently to be tempted by the Pharisees. In a parallel passage it is mentioned as Magadan. The place is unidentified, and Dalmanutha may have resulted from the misreading of Magadan or Magdala.
