Feyjo y Montenegro, Benito Gernimo b?n?t? h?r?n?m? f??h?? ? m?nt?n?gr? [key], 1676?1764, Spanish Benedictine scholar and critic, abbot at Oviedo, Asturias. Feyjo led in bringing the Enlightenment to Spain. In his social and political ideas, in philosophy, science, and literature, he represented the most advanced European thought of his time. Feijo is a variant spelling of his name.
