Pierce Brown is the author of the best-selling trilogy made up of Red Rising (2014), Golden Son (2015) and Morning Star (2016). After graduating from Pepperdine University in 2010, Brown had a variety of jobs -- from political campaign worker to NBC tour guide -- while writing novels and collecting rejection slips. Then came the 2014 hit Red Rising, a fantasy adventure tale that's been described as "Game of Thrones in space." Next came a movie deal, and Brown was writing the script adaptation of the first book when the second came out. Golden Son was also a success, and Brown was a full-blown star along the lines of Stephenie Meyer and Suzanne Collins.
